I was at a grocery store a few weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon when I was
shocked to hear the word "motherfucker" come rather loudly from the mouth
of a little boy that couldn't have been more than 4 or 5 years old. I
expected one of the three women with this tike to chastise him in some
manner for using such a word in such a public place (near the fresh fruits
and vegetables). Instead the women appeared to get in to the spirit of the
occasion and used either "motherfucker" or "motherfuckin'" as the universal
modifier in their ongoing conversation. During the short time in which I
could hear their conversation I'd say the universal modifier was used as
every third or fourth word, but I didn't attempt to keep a close track.
Just because it might seem inappropriate to associate motherfucker with a
four year old to you and I, it seems as though the word really doesn't have
any shock value to many people.
And even though I might be an old fashioned prude I still prefer it over
"Um", "Like" and "Uh" as placeholders.

I acknowledge there is some entertainment value in having little sprogs
run around using words like "motherfucker" and other variations thereof.

I just think lyrics like "I'd rather be a pussy-whipped bitch, eat pussy
And have pussy-lips glued to my face with a clit-ring in my nose" may step
over line into misogyny land.
