Post by Kevin WebbPost by WoodsStalkerThis is some killer shit. Mockingbird rocks. Last One? Bummer.
Not like you did not tell it true.
Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Woods...
I imagine he'll tour. The question is "Will you lip sync?"
He did not in the 3 times I saw him live.
Including the Buffalo show, where the sound dropped several times,
except for his mike at least once.
Looking at the air date, the song and the artist, I have no problem
understanding SNL wanting a track, I have never seen them bleep or blank
and artist.
I missed the MTV special, post it for me! (in an appropriate bin group)
I expect he'll be live as well. He always has been in the performances
I've seen him do. Now that is MTV awards and such as that. I wouldn't pay
to see anyone at a big show at my age. Certainly not a rapper but I would
think he would not lip sync on his concert tour. What gets me is that I
haven't heard one word about him lip syncing on this MTV special. Not here,
not any media outlet. It's not a big deal honestly If that's what he
wanted do then so be it but you'd think with all the Ashlee Simpson bruhaha
that there would be something said about it somewhere. Because trust me,
there was NO doubt about it. I didn't capture it and wouldn't waste my time
posting it if I had though, sorry.
This entire post is IMO!
No problem on the posting, had to try.
Age? I am over 40, hell may as well admit it, allmost 43.
I will be the one in the wheelchair, wrinkled, white hair,up against the rail in the pit!
"come here little chickie, get on my lap, you can see the stage better!)
Dont let age spoil your "youth" (you are old enough,eh?)
I think with the content of Mosh, SNL and MTV would want to maintain controll of the
words with prerecording accomplishing that.
SNL has often pushed the envelope (the penis skit comes to mind) but they cannot allow
themselves to be "pushed out of the envelope" by an artist, no matter how popular.
I missed the Ashlee Simpson thing till after I saw Eminem on SNL (well a cap anyway)
He may have been on autopilot with mosh, because of the restrictions I think where in place.
Then again the sound engineer may just have had his mike lower than it sould have been.
Then again I dont know, just a guess.
Did you ever see the SNL w/Dido version of Stan? Watch that segment, then listen to
Mosh, ask yourself, from the SNL perspective, would you let him have an open mike for Mosh?
Alright, I watched the SNL video again, and he is not lip syncing.
There is a background track.
The mix could have been better.
I also do not see Proof in Mosh, nor do I hear him.
Proof historically has filled the last word, to allow Eminem to catch a
breath before the next
verse. They sound and rhyme much alike. I think they make a hell of a team.
Did the Mosh or Lose It video come first on the show?
The Lose it video is Eminem, live mic no doubt, with the chorus as loud as his mic or more.
First chorus first words, the mic level changes, dropped way down, then
adjusted up as he starts
into the chorus. The sound engineer should know where these levels should be and has to hit
them right on time to pull it off. The Buffalo AMT opener was great, if
nothing than for the constant
sound problems, and the reactions to them from onstage. (Papa Roach had a
fit,Eminem just ran with it)
Rapping over a voice track on SNL, yes. Lip syncing on SNL ,no.
May depend on your definition of lip sync.
No flames intended.
Never said anything about his SNL performance. MTV. Some policital
rhetoric thing that is inline with his newfound "correctness". I actually
hot mic.
Oh, 36 and went to many many shows when I was in my teens into my twenties.
song. Different strokes. If you dig it then it's allgood.
